One of CDH’s core values is integrity. I think this should not only be a firm’s core value but also an individual’s core value. Being a person with integrity means doing the right things at all times, even when no one is watching. Integrity is a starting point for being successful. We perceive a person with integrity is trustworthy and as such, naturally would want to work with him or her. We seek to build strong relationships with people (i.e. customers, vendors, family and friends) with integrity. The stronger the relationships we have with others, the more opportunities we will have that may open doors for us to be successful in life. Therefore, it’s crucial we remember not to stray from doing the right thing – all the time.
The article below talks about the benefit and “profit” of having a network of people who trust you as a person of integrity. Entrepreneur and author Amy Rees Anderson says that although success may come and go, your integrity is an invaluable asset: “The value of the trust others have in you goes beyond anything that can be measured because it brings along with it limitless opportunities and endless possibilities.” Take a peek and let me know what you think.
